My friends tell me that I should list with a large brokerage like Remax but I want you to list my house with someone like you who is known for good service and being honest. Does the company really make a difference?

Hi Marcus,
First thanks for the vote of confidence. Often times people get distracted by massive marketing campaigns that large companies spend money on. The companies do this because it works. The reality of real estate, is that you are hiring a person not a company. We are all partners in the business and cooperate with one another through the MLS system. Each individual sales rep is an independent contractor and essentially works for themselves, but under their chosen banner (Remax, Coldwell Banker, Peak, etc). We all do business different. The top agents just seem to do something better than the rest, that’s all. They say the best predictor of future performance is past performance. Who ever you chose, make sure they have a great track record, and that you have a genuine trusting relationship with them. Liking them also helps.
Thanks for your post.
